A water main break in Davie left a gaping hole in the roadway and disrupted traffic in the overnight hours and on Thursday morning. Davie police told drivers at around 1 a.m. to avoid South Pine Island Road from Southwest 30th Street to Southwest 36th Street due to a collapsed roadway from a water main break. The northbound lanes of South Pine Island Road were shut down. Aerial images appear to show cones and tape sectioning off the hole in the street. This is a developing story. Refresh for updates.
