Oct. 27: South Florida hit with the worst coastal flooding since Hurricane Irma in 2017 — Delray Beach Community news

This is the worst round of king tides we’ve measured in South Florida with levels similar to what we see during some tropical storms or hurricanes. This morning is the peak of this round, reaching major flood stage at 10:31 a.m. The next high tide after this morning is at 10:34 p.m. Tomorrow’s high tides are 11:20 a.m. and 11:23 p.m.We will have spotty showers off the Atlantic today, especially this evening. A wind advisory continues through tonight for wind gusts up to 40 mph. Winds will be a lot lighter tomorrow with fewer showers. This will be the case all week with lowering king tides and no major storm systems on the way for Halloween weekend.
